Profile of the group: 

The destruction of biodiversity causes considerable threat on ecosystem services for human well-being. The aim of our research is to discover the ecological background of some important ecosystem services, evaluation in European context, and to provide the development of a sustainable habitat and land use at both international and national level. Our studies focus mainly to pollination, insect predation, soil decomposition in the function of local and landscape factors, considering also the effects of invasive plant species. We plan to upscale our results by application of national databases or international collaborations. Finally, based on the synthesis of different patterns of ecosystem services and interdisciplinary cooperations we aim to provide widescale proposals to conservation biology.
